The TechnipFMC Houston Internship Program is a 10-12 week long development program that exposes college students to product lines, job functions, and business processes within the organization. Guided by a manager and mentor, interns will work on value-add projects with tangible objectives and will present their achievements at the end of the summer. Interns will be incorporated into various aspects of the department which may include technical training, office, shop & manufacturing environments, and testing/field operations. The internship program will also provide opportunities to network, participate in social events, and develop professional skills.
Responsibilities will differ depending on the department which the intern is placed into for the summer. There are multiple disciplines in which interns can be hired. The duties of the intern while supporting the department will mimic those of the department. This includes reports, analysis, testing, documentation, audits, design, and communication both internally and externally where appropriate.
• Current student in a 4-year accredited Bachelor degree program at time of hiring
• Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the following disciplines:
o Engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Ocean, Civil, or Engineering Technology
o Sourcing & Procurement: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant disciplines
o Planning: Construction Management, Construction Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other relevant disciplines
• 3.0/4.0 GPA minimum
• Previous internship experience in relevant field is a plus
• Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Office and possible shop or field environments. Possible exposure to hazards such as noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, pressure testing, etc. while working in assembly areas and field service applications. Spends 80% of time sitting and operating a computer or workstation. Spends 20% of time in shop or field environments.
