SUMMARY (Complete the following sentence: The purpose of this position is:)

Commercial Management (Space Control Position) is essential to optimally control vessel space / maximize REV / minimize operation cost.

II.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES  (Describe major responsibilities of this position.)

·         BSA maintenance and assignment

·         VMS monitoring file and update

·         Vessel notification file and update

·         RDR file for LF comparison

·         Monthly CMDP allocation file

·         VWEEK / Departure Week system maintenance

·         ACM system restriction set up

·         2nd leg control

·         Vessel settlement

·         Vessel space control

1.       Clean laden bookings based in historic record and ES/IE/FL activity and customer feedback

2.       Daily monitoring / discussion with AECC about upcoming equipment projection and equipment needed to meet full and down

3.       Through above projection, make necessary adjustments no matter through laden or empty at later ports and coordinate with all related parties but not limited to such as AECC/OPR/Trade/local EQC to take preventive action to ensure empties will be sufficient for loading

4.       Follow up closely with space swap / sell with partners in advance in case all options to prepare empties is not sufficient

5.       Raise up in advance with OPR/HQ for proposal to do certain ad hoc ports for empties in case first port empties are not enough through advanced empty projection

6.       Monitor partner’s loading on YM operated vessel to ensure unused space and owner’s merit are being used

7.       Monitor and record final vessel performance and follow up any short load cases with related parties but not limited to AECC/OPR/Trade/local EQC/vessel team for needed compensation

·         PBI integration / set up / maintenance

·         Other special project as assigned by management

V.  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (To be fully competent in the job)
     1. SPECIAL SKILLS (Computer training, quality training, special programs)
     2. PREFERRED EDUCATION – Associates Degree
     3. WORK EXPERIENCE (Years of experience in the industry and functional area) 2-10 years in export and related transportation field. Strong communication/analysis skills and result oriented.
