Job Description: The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive, and able to manage a variety of tasks with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include:
Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and vendors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and handle inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinic resources.
Maintain patient records and update information as needed in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Verify insurance information and assist with patient billing and payments.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
Coordinate with physical therapists and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Manage the clinic’s email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Assist with inventory management and ordering office supplies.
Provide general information about our services and answer questions related to physical therapy treatments.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, good attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in basic computer skills and familiar with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Bilingual (Mandarin and/or Spanish) a plus.
