Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a Senior Propulsion Engineer join their team. The position will focus on Thrust Vector Control Hydraulic Main Pumps.
This role can be based out of any of the following locations: Huntsville, AL; Houston, TX; New Orleans, LA; or Rockford, IL.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible engineer focusing on product engineering for design, manufacturing, qualification and verification for components within Propulsion IPT
- Focus will be on Hydraulic Main Pumps for the SLS Thrust Vector Control System
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Rocket Propulsion knowledge
- 5-10 years Industry Experience
- Willing to travel 10% to designated suppliers
Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
