The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Project Coordinator III to serve as a member of the Office of Evaluation and Assessment (OEA) team. Job Summary 
The Project Coordinator Ill, under general supervision, supervises, coordinates, and assists with the completion of projects including, but not limited to, projects related to evaluation software use. Develops and coordinates project plans through full implementation, leads training, and provides user customer service and troubleshooting after implementation. 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Five years of related experience in project coordination/administration, software management, evaluation or research.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of word processing and standard proofreading.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • This position requires periodic travel to other College of Medicine campuses.

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Experience in computer science, software administration, coding, or database management or design.
  • Evaluation software or other educational software experience with any of the following programs, Blue (evaluation software), iSeek (curriculum mapping), ProgresslQ (student dashboard) or similar programs.
  • Experience in higher education or medical education.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.

Preferred Certifications, Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:: 

  • Blue Administrator Certification
  • Ability to work successfully with users to troubleshoot software problems.
  • Development of software training materials.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Assists in the development, design, purchase and installation, configuration and implementation of new software.
  • Conducts basic software performance analyses. Troubleshoots software problems.
  • Determines evaluation project needs. Creates methods for automating administration as possible. Develops automated report mechanisms for evaluation software.
  • Monitors and maintains system security. Provides protection and recovery support for data.
  • Meets with customers and technical staff to determine software needs and requirements. Assists end users with new software deployments and testing.
  • Troubleshoots a variety of end user computing and connectivity issues. Researches problems and recommends solutions.
  • Coordinates with vendors and others in the delivery and support for systems and services.
  • Prepares and oversees the preparation of training and operational manuals. Provides training to end users.
  • Coordinates project activities including project initiation, value assessments, work plan development, estimating, and project controls.
  • Develops and assesses evaluation projects including software efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Writes reports and other related materials. Monitors and prepares reports on financial activity for assigned projects.
  • Coordination of other programs and program records.
  • Compiles programs statistics and manages content entry and organization of data for curriculum, assessment and evaluation, and for research projects as needed for OEA.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable policies, rules, and regulations. For new programs, recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepares forecasting and progress reporting against milestones for project implementation and the change management process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
