Our Construction Management team has a need for an East Regional Senior Project Manager to join their team.

What you will do:

  • Actively participate as Project Manager in CEI growth and expansion throughout Texas for DCCM Family of Companies.
  • Responsible for marketing and business development for CEI construction projects throughout Texas by participating in proposal preparation, networking with consultant partners in the industry, and marketing with prospective clients in the area.
  • Build and grow the CEI practice in Texas with TXDOT, toll agencies and local governments.
  • Involved in the Texas CEI practice including business growth, quality, client satisfaction, and project profitability goals.
  • Provide oversight, leadership and mentorship to our team performing CEI services on highway projects throughout Texas.
  • Interact directly with the owner and contractor and assist with various inspections and construction/ administrative tasks.
  • Supervise engineers and owner inspectors and construction management professionals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the client’s construction engineering and operations staff, general contractors, and the design engineers.
  • Work with design engineers to respond to clarifications. Perform technical submittal reviews, assess any change orders and/or similar activities, and ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project’s scope in accordance with requirements specified in contract documents.
  • Establish and manage new contracts, including invoicing and financial management.
  • Plan and organize the work staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Manage active CEI work and inspectors as necessary in the area to ensure all areas of inspection are covered to the client’s satisfaction and all work is completed to meet specifications.
  • Develop and maintain area construction management/inspection services staff by recruiting, selecting, managing, and training employees, establishing personal growth opportunities, and measuring performance.
  • Update and track financial information including cost projections for projects and employee utilization
  • Focus attention on the success of key project elements: HS&E, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Operations:

  • Participates in the development of the CM strategic business plan
  • Tracks CM forecasting in Forecast Edge, BD pursuits, Utilization, A/R
  • Ensures BBI’s internal quality control procedures are followed for each project submittal. Performs quality assurance tasks as requested.
  • Manages monthly invoicing, time sheet line items, and sub consultant invoicing.

Preferences:
TxDOT experience as Director of Construction, Area Engineer or Assistant Area Engineer
