JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment management coordinator receives guidelines and instructions from Manager and AVP of
Equipment Management team and assists the manager/AVP with preparation of contract negotiations with chassis
provider, depot operators, and equipment related service providers. The coordinator is responsible for planning
and executing container repositions by vessel and rail. The coordinator is responsible for filing contracts,
registering rates, collecting various reports, analyzing data, identifying cost cutting initiatives, and implementing
cost cutting measures.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Expense clarification, approval and analysis, and cost recovery
– Chassis rental expense
– Genset rental expense
– Domestic reposition expense
– Cost recovery, including but not limited to genset fuel, chassis usage, and missing equipment claim
– Demurrage collection monitoring
– Detention collection support
– Equipment usage and efficiency data collection, reporting and analysis
– Empty inventory monitoring
– Vessel repo planning and guideline issuance
– Inland repo guideline issuance
– Container usage, utilization and efficiency analysis
– Chassis usage, utilization and efficiency analysis
– Depot audit and inventory checking
– Equipment related cost saving initiatives
– Other equipment management related issues


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
– 3+ years industry experience


PREFERRED SKILLS
– Proficiency in Microsoft 356 suit including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel including formulas, VBA and macros, a plus
– Experience working in an international environment
– Inland logistics, intermodal and port operations knowledge
– Prior transportation equipment experienced required
– Attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities
– Resilient and proactive attitude with passion to succeed and learn
– Goal-oriented performance with ability to work in a team environment
– Ability to successfully develop and maintain positive vendor relations
