Freight Collection  

 

II.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES  (Describe major responsibilities of this position.) 

 

  1. Verify & update surrendered OBLs; 
  1. Process, post, deposit, & report to Corporate/HQ for import & export check.  
  1. Sending Invoices or Due Bills upon request. 
  1. Control & Release export OBL, SWB, or issue Telex Release; 
  1. Chasing outstanding for freight collection; 
  1. Handling credit transfer & refund for overpayments. 
  1. Handling freight collection for 3rd pay place BL, including payment tracing & system update. 
  1. Assist collection & system update for non-O/F local charges. 
  1. Assist EFT set-up; 
  1. All other functions as directed by management.

V.  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (To be fully competent in the job) 
     1. SPECIAL SKILLS (Computer training, quality training, special programs):  Good math skills, number sense, and logical thinking required.  Excellent computer skills with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. 
         
     2. PREFERRED EDUCATION:  College degree preferred. 
         
     3. WORK EXPERIENCE (Years of experience in the industry and functional area):  

Accounting or international business experience preferred. 

         
     4. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  Responsible, detail-oriented, excellent customer service & communication skills, ability to multi-task & handle stress, respond quickly to customer requests and able to work in a team environment.
