Job Summary

The Research Associate is responsible for driving outstanding performance in the areas of research and production from collaborating on projects, communicating with team members regarding the progress of projects, purchasing lab supplies, and managing all study records. Additionally, the associate will provide exemplary, innovative and creative ideas to ensure the success of challenges in all tasks. That successful completion of tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working in a smaller company environment you’ll be asked to do a number of things to expand your skill set; however, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Performing Gene Cloning, Recombinant Baculovirus Generation and AAV Vector Production

•Running assays to verify the quality and quantity of AAV vectors

•Performing research experiments to improve the existing AAV Production System

•Being detail-oriented, exercising strong skills in research-level record keeping and GLP Documentation

•Purchasing lab supplies

•Understanding the company’s cutting edge technology

Qualifications

•B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in biological sciences or related fields (Molecular Biology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics & Genomics, etc.), willingness to perform bench work, strong hands-on lab experience, and excellent interpersonal communication skills

•An advanced, result-driven mindset with creative and enthusiastic energy to face challenging situations

•Ability to effectively multitask in order to meet hard deadlines and commitments

•Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of individuals within the department, company, external vendors, customers, and more

•Demonstrated ability to handle pressure in a calm and respectful manner while managing competing demands and multiple responsibilities simultaneously

•Detail-oriented and highly organized work style with a strong business/technical acumen

•Excellent project- and time-management abilities and strong follow-through skills are required

•Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) are required

•Significant experience using computers and software programs are required (e.g., Microsoft Office)

•Other skills and abilities as needed
