Summary
The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for following the company’s sourcing policies and qualifying alternative suppliers, negotiating price, maintaining good relationships with suppliers, and working on cost down projects.
Job Duties
- Sourcing
- Research and keep up-to-date on industry standards, including crucial cost drivers affecting contract pricing.
- Develop and define specifications for different procurement methodologies: qualified bid, the best value, professional service, construction, request for proposal, and request for qualifications.
- Perform and oversee tasks related to overall contract strategy agreement, administration, maintenance, indirect material, and management of active contracts, and compile statistical data to facilitate current and future contract planning.
- Oversee contract compliance and vendor performance for contract award.
- Assess and report the material impact due to any disaster.
- Analyze risk assessments on current and/or potential contracts and agreements.
- Analyzing vendors and specifications, ensure that our suppliers meet our quality requirements and applicable regulatory requirements by initiating appropriate action when supplier quality or compliance deficiencies are identified
- Identify future procurement opportunities to further procurement strategies
- Review, analyze, route, and resolve sourcing tasks
- Work to identify and implement continuous improvement in sourcing strategies and compliance
- Maintain sourcing database(s) to ensure reporting is accurate
- Coordinate RMA issues and work with the supplier to get RMA compensation if needed.
- Support additional demand requests from AOI TW and CN.
- Supplier Management
- Evaluate current supplier performance quarterly.
- Oversee supplier relationships for raw material suppliers and indirect material suppliers.
- Analyze current risk management and maintain valid NDA records for all raw material suppliers.
- Responsible for informing and collecting company compliance requirements from suppliers.
- Perform risk assessments on current and or potential contracts and agreements.
- Analyze and make recommendations based on report data to improve process and mitigate risks.
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing existing and or new contracts, invoices, and negotiation terms.
- Document and work through assigned requests to resolution.
- Complete data entry, data analysis, document drafting, template editing, and other administrative tasks.
- Supplier Relationship Management responsibility for assigned suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supplier Management, or related discipline is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supplier management or strategic sourcing is required.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and SAP is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Sorting, adding filters, etc.) is required.
- Good understanding of sourcing process management.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with the ability to effectively work in a team environment with all levels within the company and on an individual basis.
- Demonstrates negotiation and project planning skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative and is proactive in their approach to complete multiple projects.
- Good understanding of sourcing process management.
